Pune: Now Shivsrushti Offers Rs 75 Ticket Rates Until October 31
Katraj, 11th August 2025: Given the overwhelming response with over 1.5 lakh enthusiasts visiting Shivsrushti in the past three months since its discounted rates from May 15, considering the public demand to extend the discounted rate offer, it has been decided to allow visitors to explore Shivsrushti at a nominal rate of Rs. 75 until October 31.
This announcement was made by Jagdish Kadam, Trustee of Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan and Chairman of the Shivsrushti project, during a press conference today. Kadam also informed that the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, led by Abhay Bhutada, has generously donated Rs. 75 lakhs for this initiative. Abhay Bhutada of Abhay Bhutada Foundation, trustees of Shivsrushti project Amrut Purandare, Sunil Mutalik, Vineet Kuber, project advisor Manoj Pochat, and administrative officer Anil Pawar were present on this occasion.
Elaborating on the initiative, Jagdish Kadam said, “Shivsrushti, conceptualized by the late Padma Vibhushan Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare and being developed by Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan, has seen two phases completed with the third phase progressing rapidly, thanks to contributions from many. Abhay Bhutada, a renowned entrepreneur in the banking, finance, and insurance sectors, had previously donated Rs 50 lakhs to the Shivsrushti project through his foundation. Utilizing this fund, we offered discounted rates from May 15 to August 15, which allowed over 1.5 lakh visitors to experience the era of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Given the public’s demand to extend this offer and Abhay Bhutada Foundation’s further contribution of Rs. 75 lakhs, we have decided to extend the discounted rate offer until October 31. We are deeply grateful for Abhay Bhutada’s support, and we aim to use this donation to reach Shiv Charitra to an even larger audience.”
Accordingly, from Friday, August 15 to October 31, enthusiasts visiting Shivsrushti during this limited period will be charged a nominal entry fee of Rs 75. To avail this offer, interested individuals are requested to register online on Shivsrushti’s website. Jagdish Kadam appealed. Additionally, Please note that children below the age of five will not be allowed entry into Shivsrushti.
The foundation aimed to take concrete action to spread awareness about Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life and glorious history among Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s enthusiasts. This idea was conceived and approved by the Pratishthan. Now, at discounted rates, citizens can experience Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s history, struggles, vision, and governance. Abhay Bhutada expressed confidence that this initiative will propagate the ideologies of Swaraj, Swabhasha, and Swadharma of Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Prior to this offer, ticket prices were Rs. 600 for adults and Rs. 300 for children under 16. Thanks to Abhay Bhutada’s donation, ticket prices will be reduced to Rs. 75 for a limited period.
Located near Pune, the 21-acre Shivsrushti Theme Park will reach out to more citizens, enabling families to bring their children and young adults to learn about the legendary king’s personality. Jagdish Kadam expressed optimism that this initiative will help build a strong society by instilling moral values and a sense of duty in the new generation.
The second phase of Shivsrushti was recently inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, coinciding with the Shiv Jayanti celebrations in February. A major highlight of this phase is the Time Machine Theater, which offers visitors a unique experience. By sitting in the Time Machine Theater, visitors can travel back in time and experience Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s era through audiovisual effects. The theater features stories about Maharaj’s life, utilizing advanced technology such as mapping, holography, and physical effects, including a 360-degree rotating theater. Each show can accommodate 100 people and lasts for 36 minutes.
In addition to the Time Machine Theater, Shivsrushti features various other attractions, including the ‘Durgvaibhav’ and ‘Ranangan’ sections, a section depicting Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s escape from Agra, the ‘Shrimant Yogi’ section where visitors can interact with Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and the ‘Simhasanadhishwar’ section showcasing the coronation ceremony. Visitors can also view high-resolution images of paintings of Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj from renowned museums worldwide, explore exhibits on his battles, and see replicas of historical sites like the temple of Tulja Bhavani Mata at Pratapgad and the Ganga- Sagar lake. These immersive experiences bring Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s history to life for enthusiasts.
In addition to this, in the third phase of Shivsrushti, the coronation ceremony of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, as described by Henry Oxxington, an English officer who witnessed the ceremony, will be recreated over 65,000 square feet of space. This will be achieved using cutting-edge technology such as holography, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR). Indigo Airlines’ CSR initiative has pledged a donation of ₹30 crores for this project. In the third phase, visitors will get to experience this grand coronation ceremony.
