Maharashtra: Online Class 11 Admission Process Moves to Special Round from Today
Pune, 12th August 2025: The state’s online Class 11 admission process, managed by the Department of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, will enter its special round from Tuesday, August 12. This follows the conclusion of the “open to all” round on Monday, in which 3,24,761 students secured seats in junior colleges across Maharashtra.
Of these, 3,19,582 students were admitted through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP), while 5,179 students gained admission via management and minority quota seats.
The special round will begin at 12 p.m. on August 12, allowing new student registrations and corrections to Part 1 forms until 1 p.m. on August 13. During this period, junior colleges can also transfer seats under the management and minority quotas at their discretion.
Official schedule for the special round:
August 14: Display of vacant seats on the admission portal.
August 15–17: New student registrations, application form corrections, registration of ATKT students from the State Board supplementary exam, and filling of Part 2 (priority list).
August 19 (11 a.m.): Announcement of allotment list for junior colleges.
August 19–20: Students allotted seats must confirm admissions within the deadline.
The department has urged students and parents to strictly follow the schedule to avoid missing out on admissions in this round.
