Khadakwasla, 19th August 2025: Authorities at the Khadakwasla Dam have further increased the water discharge from the dam’s spillway into the Mutha River. The outflow, which stood at 24,827 cusecs earlier in the afternoon, was raised to 29,084 cusecs at 5:00 pm on Tuesday.

The Irrigation Department has cautioned that the discharge may be revised again depending on the intensity of rainfall and inflow into the reservoir. Residents and commuters along the riverbanks have been urged to remain alert and avoid venturing near the riverbed, as sudden fluctuations in water levels are possible.

The advisory was issued by Mohan Bhadane, Sub-Divisional Engineer, Mutha Canals Irrigation Sub-Division, Swargate, Pune.
