Pune: 14 Residents Rescued After Portion of Old Wada Collapses in Ganesh Peth

Pune, 3rd September 2025: Panic gripped Ganesh Peth on Wednesday afternoon when a section of an old wada collapsed at 153, Pangul Ali around 3 pm. Fourteen people who were trapped inside were safely rescued by the fire brigade in a swift operation.

Prompt Rescue Operation
A team from the Pune Fire Brigade, led by Station Officer Ramteke, immediately reached the spot and carried out the rescue. The operation involved Tandel Syed, driver Hanumant Koli, and firemen Vinayak Mali, Ashish Lahane, Suresh Suryavanshi, Hemant Shinde, Harshad Sonawane, and Aditya Pardeshi.

Thanks to their coordinated efforts, all those trapped inside were evacuated without any casualties.
