Pune: Diveghat Road Closure for 3 Hours on Friday for Blasting Work; Motorists Asked to Take Alternative Routes
Pune, 11th September 2025: Road widening work is currently in progress on National Highway No. 965 (Alandi–Pandharpur Palkhi Highway) from Hadapsar to Diveghat under Package 6. As part of the project, blasting operations are being carried out in rocky sections under the supervision of the police administration.
Due to this, traffic movement through Diveghat will be completely closed on Friday, September 12, between 11 am and 2 pm. Authorities have appealed to motorists traveling in both directions to plan their journeys accordingly and make use of alternative routes.
The suggested alternative routes are:

Khedshivapur–Saswad Link Road to Saswad
Kapurhol–Narayanpur (State Highway No. 119) to Saswad
Hadapsar–Urali Kanchan–Shindavane Ghat (State Highway No. 61) to Saswad
In an official press release, S. S. Kadam, Project Director, National Highways Authority of India (Project Implementation Unit, Pune), appealed to motorists to cooperate for their safety. He further clarified that similar road closures will take place on other days when blasting work is scheduled, and vehicle owners are requested to extend their cooperation during those times as well.
