Maharashtra Council of Homoeopathy Launches DigiKYD to Curb Fake Doctors
Mumbai, 16th September 2025: The Maharashtra Council of Homoeopathy (MCH) has rolled out DigiKYD – Know Your Doctor (KYD), a QR-code–based initiative that allows citizens or visitors to instantly confirm a practitioner’s identity and active license—right at the clinic. The initiative is introduced to strengthen transparency, deter bogus practice, and celebrate the professionalism of registered homoeopathic doctors across the state.
In recent years, Maharashtra has seen a rise in cases of quackery and fake doctors, leading to patient harm and loss of public confidence. DigiKYD directly addresses this by empowering patients with a simple verification tool, while ensuring genuine practitioners stand apart from impostors.
Under DigiKYD, every registered practitioners are receiving an official DigiKYD plate featuring a secure QR code. When scanned, patients or visitors can instantly view a verified profile with the practitioner’s name, registration number, and license validity—making trust just one scan away. Doctors are advised to display the plate prominently at eye level so patients can easily scan without any third-party involvement.

•Mandatory display for MCH-registered practitioners. All registered homoeopathic doctors under MCH are expected to participate in this initiative.
