Moderate Rainfall Predicted in Pune for Next Two Days: IMD

Pune, 18th September 2025: Heavy showers lashed several parts of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad on Thursday evening from around 5 pm, leading to waterlogging in low-lying areas and traffic snarls on major routes.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall in Pune over the next two days, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

18 September: Generally cloudy sky. Thunderstorm with lightning. Moderate to heavy rainfall very likely.
19 September: Generally cloudy sky. Thunderstorm with lightning. Light to moderate rainfall very likely.
20 September: Generally cloudy sky. Thunderstorm with lightning. Light to moderate rainfall very likely.
21 September: Generally cloudy sky. Very light to light rainfall very likely.
22 September: Generally cloudy sky. Very light to light rainfall very likely.
With showers continuing, residents are advised to plan their travel accordingly and exercise caution on waterlogged and congested routes.
