Hinjawadi, 26th September 2025: Citizens and IT employees in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad (PCMC), and Hinjawadi have been urged to participate in a month-long digital campaign highlighting persistent traffic snarls and potholes that have affected commuters for over a decade.

The initiative, led by civic activist Sachin Londhe under the banner #UnclogHinjawadiITPark, calls for residents to create 90-second vertical videos from their housing societies, featuring groups of 4 to 50 people. Participants are encouraged to share these videos on platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook using the hashtags #UnclogFootpaths and #RightOfPedestrians.

Londhe emphasized that this campaign is a peaceful and silent effort to draw attention to the lack of progress in improving road conditions and walkable footpaths. “Our time and our roads are valuable. This movement is about uniting citizens and IT employees to demand better infrastructure and safer streets,” he said.

The campaign also encourages participants to use festive occasions, such as Navratri Dandiya events, to record videos showcasing collective concern and unity.

Suggested slogans for the videos include:
Our Time, Our Roads!
From Potholes to Progress!
Walk the Talk, Fix Our Paths!

Following the digital drive, the organizers plan to hold a peaceful protest after October 30, 2025, pending official permissions. The campaign is a follow-up to previous efforts aimed at improving roads and footpaths in Hinjawadi, which have reportedly seen little action from authorities over the past month.
