RRBs Declare Final Results for Assistant Loco Pilot; 18,735 Selected

New Delhi, 1st October 2025: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have declared the final results for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilots (ALPs), completing one of the most critical safety category recruitments in Indian Railways.

The recruitment process concluded with the selection of 18,735 candidates, who will now proceed to the Document Verification and Medical Examination phases conducted by respective RRBs. Upon successful completion, the candidates will undergo 120 days of training before being appointed as Assistant Loco Pilots.

The multi-stage recruitment process began with the 1st Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT), conducted from 25th to 29th November 2024, held over 15 shifts across 5 days in 156 cities and 346 centres.

The 2nd Stage CBT was conducted on 2nd and 6th May 2025, across 112 cities and 213 centres, covering 4 shifts over 2 days.

Qualified candidates from the 2nd Stage appeared for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) on 15th July and 31st August 2025. This stage was held in 3 shifts across 2 days, covering 84 cities and 186 centres.

With the declaration of results, Indian Railways is set to bolster its workforce in a key safety-sensitive category, helping ensure operational efficiency and passenger safety.
