Hinjawadi, 9th October 2025: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has ordered a halt to construction activities by two developers in the Maan area of Mulshi taluka for failing to provide an access road and other basic civic amenities to homebuyers.

The action was initiated by Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase after several residents lodged complaints regarding the lack of proper road connectivity to their housing complexes. Acting on a site inspection report submitted by the Development Permission Department, Dr. Mhase directed officials to suspend the ongoing construction work.

Residents of a housing project located on Pathak Road in Maan had recently complained to PMRDA about the absence of a usable approach road to their residential society. Taking note of their grievances, Dr. Mhase instructed a detailed site inspection under the supervision of Avinash Patil, Director of the Development Permission and Planning Department.

Following the inspection, a joint meeting was convened between the developers and residents. The developers were instructed to create a proper and functional access road as per the approved layout and agreed terms. However, despite the directions, the developers failed to comply, prompting PMRDA to suspend the construction work of Joyville Shapoorji Housing Pvt. Ltd. and Yellowstone Skyscrapers LLP.

Following a site inspection, PMRDA officials confirmed the presence of these encroachments. Subsequently, Dr. Mhase has directed officials to initiate criminal proceedings against those responsible for the illegal constructions.
