Ahilyanagar, 25th October 2025: A grand Ex-Servicemen Rally was organised at the Ahilyanagar Military Station on Saturday to pay tribute to the nation’s veterans and their families.

The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of more than 4,500 veterans, Veer Naris, Veer Matas, Veer Pitas, and their dependents from Ahilyanagar, Solapur, Beed, Latur, and Dharashiv districts — showcasing their enduring spirit and dedication to the motherland.

Major General Vishal Agarawal, General Officer Commanding, Dakshin Maharashtra and Goa Sub Area, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The rally was also attended by a large number of serving military personnel and officials from the state administration.

The event aimed to honour the service, valour, and sacrifice of ex-servicemen while also addressing their welfare and resettlement needs. A series of awareness programmes and stalls were set up to provide information on pension matters, ECHS and CSD facilities, healthcare, and various government welfare schemes for veterans and their dependents.

Addressing the gathering, Major General Vishal Agarawal lauded the veterans for their invaluable contribution to the nation, stating, “Our veterans are the true guardians of the nation’s honour. Their welfare is our foremost responsibility, and we remain committed to their continued well-being.”
