Symbiosis Institute of Technology HostsFuture-Tech Summit 2025
Pune, 1st November 2025: Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT), Pune, successfully hosted the Future-Tech Summit 2025 — a premier conclave celebrating innovation, industry collaboration, and emerging technologies. The event showcased SIT’s strong commitment to digital transformation, research excellence, and fostering a vibrant start-up ecosystem that prepares students to be future-ready innovators.
The Summit featured the inauguration of multiple Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading global industry partners, reinforcing SIT’s focus on experiential learning and futuristic skill development. The event was graced by Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis International University, Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman, Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis International University, and Dr. Ketan Kotecha, Director, SIT Pune, along with eminent guests from academia and industry.
Key collaborations included – The Civil Engineering Department signed an MoU with Bentley Systems and launched the Centre of Excellence in Infrastructure Innovation, while the Electronics and Telecommunication Department inaugurated the Centre of Excellence in Semiconductor Design Excellence. The Computer Science and Engineering Department entered into an MoU with DeepCytes to establish the Centre of Excellence in Cyber Intelligence. The Mechanical Engineering Department collaborated with John Deere India to focus on advanced manufacturing and sustainable design, and the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Department signed an MoU with Yagy Tech Pvt. Ltd.
SIT Pune was also recognized as an Apple Training Centre, integrating Apple’s Develop in Swift curriculum to provide globally benchmarked digital education.
The Summit additionally featured interactions with the Bharat 6G Alliance, promoting India’s leadership in next-generation communication technologies, and showcased student-led startups driving campus innovation. The event concluded with the inauguration of the DST PURSE Laboratory, dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research and scientific excellence.
