Young Golf Sensation Guntas Kaur Aims for Another Win at IGU Maharashtra Championship in Pune
Pune, 11th November 2025: Order of Merit leader Guntas Kaur Sandhu, who missed out on a treble in the previous event, will be the cynosure when the IGU Maharashtra Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship gets underway at the Oxford Golf Resort here on Wednesday.
Guntas has been dominant on the IGU circuit this season, lording over the field in most events, including winning the treble (Ladies, Category ‘A’ and ‘B’) thrice. The 14-year-old will look to be the last one standing again this week.
Keya Badugu, who won her maiden title in the last event in Coimbatore in September, will look to carry that form into this event as well, and keep Guntas and the rest of the quality field at bay.
Ceerat Kang, Anvvi Dahhiya and Rashi Mishra are the other golfers who will be looking to script their own story at a course known for its prominent rolling terrain and quick greens.
Competition will be held in four categories – Ladies, Category ‘A’ (15-17 years), Category ‘B’ (13-14) and Category ‘C’ (11-12).
