Pune: PMPML Removes Unsafe Advertisement Hoardings at Deccan Gymkhana Bus Station
Shivajinagar, 27th November 2025: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) on Thursday removed hazardous advertisement hoardings installed at the Deccan Gymkhana main bus station to prevent potential risks to passengers and citizens.
The action was taken on the directives of PMPML Chairman and Managing Director Pankaj Deore. The dismantling involved iron frames of a large advertising board and LED hoardings that had been non-functional for several days and were deemed unsafe.
Officials from the Deputy Chief Manager’s office at N.T. Wadi Depot, along with the workshop’s body fitter team and other staff members, carried out the operation.
PMPML stated that the initiative was taken as part of its top priority to ensure commuter and public safety. The transport body also announced that similar inspections will be conducted frequently across its premises to identify and immediately remove any dangerous structures.
Reiterating its commitment to public safety, PMPML urged citizens to report any potentially unsafe hoardings or infrastructure for prompt action.
