Campus Cleaning Drive at Savitribai Phule Pune University

Pune, 21st December 2025: Teachers, students, and non-teaching staff of Savitribai Phule Pune University came together for a campus cleaning drive, focusing on the area surrounding the statues of prominent personalities on the university premises. The participants collected garbage and plastic waste as part of the cleanliness initiative.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Suresh Gosavi, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Parag Kalkar, and Director and Head of the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension, Prof. Dr. Vilas Adhav, were present during the drive. Heads of various departments, including Dr. Sangeeta Sawant, Dr. Amit Dordade, Dr. R.S. Pandit, Prof. Vaishali Khairkar, Dr. Vinod Gosavi, Shivaji Uttekar, Santosh Madane, Ashish Varpe, and Sachin Bankar, also participated.

A large number of teachers, non-teaching staff, and representatives of student organisations, including Rahul Sasane, took part in the cleanliness drive, highlighting collective responsibility towards maintaining a clean and sustainable campus environment.
