Pune: 34 Trains Cancelled on 23, 24, 25 & 26 January Due to Doubling Work Between Daund–Kashti

Pune, 5th January 2026: At least 34 trains will remain cancelled on 23, 24, 25 and 26 January 2026 as Central Railway’s Pune Division undertakes Pre-Non Interlocking (Pre-NI) and Non-Interlocking (NI) works for the commissioning of the doubling project between Daund and Kashti stations on the Daund–Manmad section.

According to officials, the infrastructure work will involve special traffic and power blocks, leading to the cancellation of several mail/express, passenger and DEMU services during the affected dates.

Major Express Trains Cancelled:
Key long-distance services affected include the Pune–Amravati Express, Amravati–Pune Express, Ajni–Pune Express, Pune–Nagpur Garib Rath Express, Nagpur–Pune Garib Rath Express, Pune–Nanded Express, Nanded–Pune Express, Pune–Ajni Humsafar Express, Ajni–Pune Humsafar Express, and Nagpur–Pune Express, with cancellations spread across 23 to 25 January.

The Dadar–Sainagar Shirdi Express and Sainagar Shirdi–Dadar Express will also remain cancelled on select days between 21 and 25 January, impacting passengers during the NI work period.

Special and Intercity Services:
Special services such as the Kalaburagi–Daund Special and Daund–Kalaburagi Special, along with the Nizamabad–Pandharpur Express and Pandharpur–Nizamabad Express, are among those cancelled on 24, 25 and 26 January.

Passenger and DEMU Services:
Several suburban and short-distance services, including Pune–Baramati Passenger, Baramati–Daund Passenger, and multiple Daund–Baramati, Pune–Daund and Baramati–Pune DEMU services, will remain cancelled on 24 and 25 January 2026, affecting daily commuters in the Pune–Daund–Baramati section.

Central Railway has advised passengers to check the latest train running status before commencing their journey during the affected dates.
