Baner, 5th January 2026: With the Pune Municipal Corporation elections approaching, an extensive outreach campaign was carried out across several housing societies in Ward No. 9, including Royal Sirene Society (Mhalunge), Bravaria Society (Balewadi), Elite Society and Yashine Society (Sus). The campaign focused on direct interaction with residents and building trust through in-depth discussions on local issues.

During the visits, residents shared their views on day-to-day civic problems, basic amenities, future requirements and the long-term development vision for the ward. Citizens openly highlighted concerns related to infrastructure, civic services and urban planning while also discussing expectations from their elected representatives.

The outreach programme was led by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidates Gayatri Medhe-Kokate, Baburao Chandere, Parvati Nimhan and Amol Balwadkar. The candidates appealed to voters to support them with a strong mandate, assuring continued engagement and responsive governance.

According to feedback received during the interactions, residents underlined that on-ground development works, timely response to public grievances, consistent communication and a problem-solving approach have been key strengths of the candidates’ work style. Party representatives said the positive response from citizens serves as motivation to take on greater responsibility in the coming term.

As part of the campaign, the candidates also interacted with members of the Sahaj Yoga family in the Balewadi area. Discussions focused on meditation, self-realisation and the role of positive values in promoting social harmony, health and ethical living. Participants described such interactions as encouraging for community welfare initiatives.

The candidates reiterated that public trust, cooperation and goodwill remain the core strength for the overall development of Ward 9. They expressed their resolve to continue working consistently and effectively to address civic issues and contribute to sustainable urban development.
