Pune: PMPML Introduces Special Bus Travel Arrangements for SSC and HSC Examinees
Pune, 9th February 2026: To ensure hassle-free travel for students appearing in the upcoming board examinations, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has announced special transport arrangements for Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) students during the exam period.
According to an official statement, the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations will begin on February 10, 2026, followed by the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations from February 20, 2026. Anticipating increased travel demand, PMPML has implemented several student-friendly measures.
Students who already possess PMPML bus passes will be allowed to use them for travel between their homes and examination centres throughout the examination period. They will not need to purchase additional tickets for these journeys.
In a move aimed at reducing delays and easing last-minute anxiety, students appearing for the exams will be permitted to board buses through the front entrance, allowing quicker and more convenient access.
PMPML officials and supervisory staff will be deployed at key bus stops to ensure students receive priority while boarding buses, particularly during peak hours. The transport body has also stated that extra buses will be arranged if school authorities submit requests based on student requirements.
PMPML has urged students and parents to take note of these arrangements and make full use of the facilities provided during the examination season.
The initiative is expected to benefit thousands of students across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, helping them commute smoothly as they prepare for one of the most crucial academic phases of the year.
