‘Lions Premier League’ 2026 Open Group Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament to be held from February 22

Pune, 21st February 21: Lions Club District 3234D2 has organized the 16th ‘Lions Premier League’ 2026 Open Group Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament. This tournament will be held from February 22 to 28, 2026 at L. R. Shinde High School Cricket Ground, Sahakarnagar.

Giving more information about this tournament, Lions Club District 3234D2 Sports Chairperson L. Srinath Khaire said that a total of 5 invited teams will participate in this tournament to be held in the league and knockout rounds with the white ball. More than 70 players from the open group will participate in this tournament. The tournament is sponsored by Rudra Motors. The matches of the tournament will be played in a day-night format.

Rudra Warriors, Saachi Super Kings, Bhau Kokane Club, Nair Eagles and Yogesh Victors will compete for the title.

The tournament will be inaugurated on Sunday, February 22 (today) by the Governor of District 3234D2 of Lions Club, L. Rajeshji Agarwal, Santosh Mane of Rudra Motors, Vice District Governor Shreyas Dixit, Vice District Governor 2 Rajendra Goyal, Cabinet Officer Ravidra Golar and the founder of Lions Club Pune Rahatni, Vasantbhau Kokane. The opening match will be played between the two teams, Nair Eagles and Bhau Kokane Club. The final match of the tournament and the prize distribution ceremony of the tournament will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

The winning team will receive a trophy, while the runner-up team will receive a trophy. Apart from this, he explained that awards will be given to the best batsman, bowler, fielder, wicketkeeper, fighters of the match, as well as the best player of the series and man of the match for each match.
