CII Pune Gets New Leadership: Alfa Laval’s Subhasis Das Named Chairman, Knest Founder Nitin Mittal Vice Chairman

Pune, 6th March 2026: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Pune Zone has announced a change in leadership following its 26th Annual Meeting held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Subhasis Das has been appointed as the new Chairman, while Nitin Mittal will serve as the Vice Chairman for the 2026-27 term.

Subhasis Das (Chairman): Das currently serves as the Cluster President and Managing Director of Alfa Laval India Pvt Ltd, a leading Swedish multinational specializing in heat transfer, separation, and fluid-handling technologies. An alumnus of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, he brings over three decades of leadership experience from global giants such as Shell, Reliance Industries, Coal India, and Sandvik. Known as a “transformative leader,” Das has a track record of driving large-scale business turnarounds. At Alfa Laval, his focus remains on advancing decarbonization, energy efficiency, and circularity across the energy, food, pharma, and marine sectors.

Nitin Mittal (Vice Chairman): Mittal is the Founder and Managing Director of K-Nest Manufacturers Pvt Ltd (Knest), a global leader in aluminum formwork and construction technology. Since founding the company in 2014, he has scaled operations from a 5,000 sq. ft. workshop to a multinational powerhouse with 10 lakh sq. ft. of manufacturing space, including an upcoming plant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A staunch advocate for the “Make in India” initiative, Mittal’s patented innovations, under K-nest Construction Tech, provide infrastructure solutions across eight countries.

The new leadership team is expected to drive the council’s vision of building sustainable, future-ready industrial ecosystems and promoting world-class industrial growth in the Pune region.
