Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 in Pune: Ramzan to Complete 30 Days, Eid on March 21
Pune, 19th March 2026: The Markazi Ruyat-e-Hilal Committee of Ulama in Pune has announced that the moon for the Islamic month of Shawwal 1447 Hijri was not sighted on Thursday evening. As a result, the holy month of Ramzan will complete 30 days this year.
According to the committee, Friday, March 20, 2026, will be observed as the 30th day of Ramzan, while Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21.
The announcement was issued by Hafiz Ahtesham Qadri of the Hilal Committee Pune after reviewing moon sighting reports on Thursday night.
Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the month-long fasting period of Ramzan and is celebrated by Muslims with special prayers, charity, and festive gatherings.
