Pune: Case filed against influencer for alleged misconduct with woman journalist

Pune, 31st March 2026: Parvati police have booked social media influencer Santosh Pandit for allegedly misbehaving with a woman journalist and making objectionable remarks on her attire during a protest march on Monday.

According to police, the incident took place around 12.30 pm when the journalist was covering a political party’s protest. In her complaint, she alleged that Pandit approached her during the coverage and accused the media personnel of causing traffic congestion in the area.

The complainant further stated that he made objectionable comments about her attire, filmed her without consent, and allegedly used abusive language. she also accused him of threatening other women present at the protest.

Based on the complaint, police have registered a case under sections 75, 78, 352, 351(2) and 296 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police said further investigation is in progress.
