Pune: Four Minors Booked for Vandalising Vehicles in Phursungi

Pune, 1st April 2026: Four minors, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, vandalised several vehicles in the Phursungi area on Tuesday night, creating panic among residents. Police have registered a case against the four accused, and one of them has been taken into custody.

A 25-year-old person has filed a complaint in the matter. According to police, the minors are suspected to have damaged vehicles parked along the roadside with the intention of spreading fear in the locality.

The incident occurred around 9:45 pm near Kranti Mitra Mandal Ganesh Temple and Sanjuda Complex in Papde Vasti. The accused, reportedly wielding sharp weapons, created a ruckus in the area. They damaged a total of nine vehicles, including three autorickshaws, two tempos and four cars, by smashing windows and causing damage.

The sudden violence led to panic among locals. On receiving information, a team from Phursungi police station, led by senior inspector Amol More, rushed to the spot.

Police have booked the accused under relevant sections, including provisions of the Arms Act. Police said the search is on for the three absconding accused. Further investigation is underway.
