Pune: Reel Star Murdered in Kondhwa Over Minor Dispute, Cousin Arrested

Kondhwa, 21st April 2026: A 28-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his cousin and an accomplice over a minor dispute in Pune’s Kondhwa area in the early hours of Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Rohan Kantilal Ovhal (28), a resident of Kakade Vasti in Kondhwa. Police have arrested his cousin, Kaushal Landge (20), a resident of Kalepadal in Hadapsar. A case has also been registered against his alleged accomplice, Ansh Patel (18) in the matter.

The incident took place around 4.45 am on Monday near Ashwini Paradise Society on Bibwewadi-Kondhwa Road. A complaint in the matter was lodged at Market Yard police station by the victim’s sister.

According to police, Rohan was unemployed and used to make reels on YouTube. Kaushal was his maternal aunt’s son. The two reportedly had frequent disputes over minor reasons.

During one such altercation, Kaushal and Ansh allegedly attacked Rohan with a paver block and a wooden plank, striking him on the head and causing grievous injuries.

Rohan was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition, where doctors declared him dead.

Market Yard police have registered a murder case and arrested Kaushal Landge. Further investigation is underway.
