Pune Student Secures 3rd Place in International Spelling Bee Competition

Pimpri Chinchwad, 29th April 2026: Ten-year-old Dhruv Mardikar secured third place in the International Spelling Bee Competition organised by MaRRS Rediscover. The event was held on April 26, 2026, at GCC International School in Mumbai.

The competition involved multiple rounds designed to assess different aspects of English language proficiency. Participants were evaluated on spelling accuracy, synonyms and antonyms, parts of speech, phonemic script identification, and listening skills.

Students from schools across India participated in the event, making it a competitive platform for young learners. Dhruv’s performance highlights his proficiency in English and consistent preparation.

A resident of Puneville in Punawale under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) area, Dhruv’s achievement has been acknowledged by his family and school as an important milestone in his academic journey.

His parents said the recognition is expected to encourage him to continue developing his language skills and pursue further academic goals.
