Pune: Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi to Begin 341st Ashadhi Wari from Dehu on July 7

Pimpri Chinchwad, 4th June 2026: The revered Palkhi procession of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj will commence its annual pilgrimage to Pandharpur from Dehu on July 7, 2026, marking the 341st year of the historic Ashadhi Wari tradition. The 18-day foot pilgrimage will conclude with the arrival of the Palkhi in Pandharpur on July 24, ahead of Ashadhi Ekadashi celebrations on July 25.

The Sant Tukaram Maharaj Sansthan, Dehu, announced the schedule.
The Palkhi will depart from Dehu on July 7 and halt for its first overnight stay at the historic Inamdar Wada. On July 8, after leaving Inamdar Wada, the procession will stop for the first Abhang Aarti near Angadshah Baba Dargah and later for the second Abhang Aarti at the Paduka Temple in Chincholi before reaching Shri Vitthal Temple in Akurdi for its night halt.

The annual Wari pilgrimage is one of Maharashtra’s most significant spiritual traditions, drawing lakhs of devotees from across the state and the country. The Palkhi procession carries the sacred padukas of Sant Tukaram Maharaj and symbolises devotion, unity, and the rich cultural heritage of the Bhakti movement.

“The 341st Palkhi Sohala will continue the centuries-old tradition of faith and devotion, bringing together thousands of Warkaris on the sacred journey to Pandharpur,” officials of the Sant Tukaram Maharaj Sansthan said.
