Pune: FDA Conducts Major Action In Budhwar Peth Over Suspected Khoya, Paneer Samples

Budhwar Peth, 11th September 2026: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has launched an inspection in the Budhwar Peth area of Pune following concerns over suspected substandard khoya and paneer.
FDA officials are collecting samples from two to four containers of khoya and paneer during the ongoing operation. The containers are suspected to have arrived in Pune from outside Maharashtra.
The location is reportedly a major distribution point for khoya and paneer supplied across Pune.
The samples will be sent for testing, and further action will be decided based on the test results, officials said.
