Mumbai, 5th June 2026: Former AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel has come under the scanner in the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the Nashik TCS case after his name surfaced in the chargesheet related to accused Nida Khan. Investigators are now examining his alleged links to the case and may question him as part of the ongoing inquiry.

The development comes after the SIT filed its first chargesheet in the case, which runs into more than 1,500 pages and details the findings gathered from witness statements, digital evidence, financial records, and electronic communications. According to the investigation, Jaleel’s name emerged during the questioning of AIMIM corporator Mateen Patel, who allegedly provided shelter to Nida Khan while she was absconding.

Investigators stated that when Patel was questioned regarding Khan’s whereabouts, he repeatedly referred officers to Imtiaz Jaleel. These statements were subsequently included in the chargesheet, prompting further scrutiny of the former MP’s role and possible involvement.

Nida Khan was arrested in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on May 7 after police alleged that she had been hiding at a property linked to Patel. The case, which originated from complaints lodged by employees at a TCS BPO facility in Nashik, involves allegations of workplace harassment, sexual exploitation, and religious coercion. The SIT was formed to investigate multiple FIRs registered in connection with the matter.

Reacting to reports of his name appearing in the chargesheet, Jaleel said he was ready to cooperate with any investigation. He acknowledged that he had previously met Khan’s family and maintained that he had nothing to hide. Jaleel also stated that if investigators wished to question him, he would fully cooperate with the process.

The issue has also triggered political reactions in Maharashtra. Earlier, BJP and Shiv Sena leaders had demanded a wider probe into possible links between the accused and AIMIM after Khan’s arrest and Patel’s alleged involvement came to light.

Meanwhile, the SIT continues to examine call records, digital communications, and other evidence collected during the investigation. Officials have indicated that additional questioning and further legal action may follow as the probe progresses.
