Dedicated website offers one-stop information for Pune Ganeshotsav visitors
Pune, 16th September 2026: A new website launched by corporator Kunal Tilak aims to make it easier for devotees visiting Pune during Ganeshotsav to plan their visits, with information on Ganpati mandals, routes, parking, food spots, public transport and emergency services available on a single platform.
The website, ‘ PuneGaneshotsav.com’, provides brief histories of around 50 to 60 Ganpati mandals in the city. It also has pre-set routes for devotees who want to visit Pune’s five revered Ganpati idols. Users can click on a route to view directions through Google Maps.
The website also allows visitors to create their own route to the Ganpati mandals they wish to visit, based on their starting location.
Information on parking areas, popular food and dining spots, metro stations and bus stops in central Pune is also available. The website lists nearby hospitals and police stations and has an SOS facility for use during emergencies.
Tilak said the initiative aims to make Pune’s traditional Ganeshotsav and its history more accessible to visitors through technology. He said the website also reflects his effort to connect the festival’s historical legacy with the present generation as the great-grandson of Lokmanya Tilak.
The website has been launched on a pilot basis this year. Based on feedback from citizens, changes and additional features will be added next year, Tilak said.
