MLC Amit Gorkhe’s Vehicle Meets With Accident in Nashik, MLC Suffers Minor Neck Injury

Pune/Nashik, 21st September 2026: Maharashtra Legislative Council member Amit Gorkhe’s vehicle met with an accident in Nashik while he was in the city to attend a mega rally in support of sub-categorisation of Scheduled Caste (SC) reservations. Gorkhe and all those travelling with him escaped unhurt, according to preliminary information.

The rally was organised in Nashik in support of the demand for sub-categorisation of SC reservations. Several organisations and activists have been holding protests and rallies across the state over the issue. Gorkhe, who has been vocal about the rights of marginalised and disadvantaged sections, also participated in the rally.

The accident took place during his visit to Nashik. According to preliminary information, Gorkhe’s vehicle collided with another vehicle while he was travelling in the city.

Gorkhe suffered a minor injury to his neck and was provided medical assistance and first aid. His condition is reported to be stable and there is no cause for concern, his office said.

All his co-passengers, including the driver and security personnel, are also safe.
