Over 380 women achievers honoured under ‘Stree Shakti Sanman’ initiative

Pune, 22nd October 2026: Krishna Rajaram Ashtekar Jewellers (KRA Jewellers), a renowned jewellery house in Pune, organised the second edition of its ‘Stree Shakti Sanman’ initiative during Navratri to honour women achievers from diverse fields, including the police, law, medicine and sports. Around 380 to 400 women were felicitated as part of the initiative, which recognises their valuable contribution to society and expresses gratitude for their work.

Speaking about the initiative, Atul Ashtekar, Director, KRA Jewellers, said, “During Navratri, we celebrate the power of women. However, even in our everyday lives, many women successfully shoulder multiple responsibilities. Along with managing their homes, they pursue their professions, establish their identities and contribute to society. We started this initiative to recognise and honour their achievements. Through this platform, we felicitate women achievers from various fields, including the police, law, medicine and sports.”

He added, “Rather than merely talking about women’s empowerment, it is important to place our trust in women and give them opportunities. At KRA Jewellers, women currently constitute 48 per cent of our workforce, while their representation in key departments such as purchasing is around 90 per cent. We believe that when women are entrusted with opportunities and responsibilities, they can deliver excellent results. We believe in demonstrating through action what we advocate.”

As part of the initiative, women achievers were felicitated at KRA Jewellers’ outlets in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Baramati, Satara and Pune. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Child Development Officer Savita Bikkad and Assistant Police Inspector Preeti Phad were honoured. In Baramati, women teachers and lawyers were felicitated, while in Satara, Assistant Police Inspector Asha Mohod, Priyanka Babar and Jasmine Patil, Nirbhaya Officer at Shahupuri Police Station, were recognised for their work.

In Pune, national-level wrestler Krishnai Waghmare was felicitated at the Sonya Maruti Chowk outlet. At Kothrud, Assistant Police Inspector Gauri Shinde and her colleagues, along with women doctors, were honoured. Women doctors and lawyers were felicitated at the Nagar Road outlet. At Sinhagad Road, Police Sub-Inspectors Reshma Salunkhe and Madhuri Kajale, along with their colleagues were recognised. At the Aundh outlet, Police Inspector Sheetal Jadhav and her colleagues were felicitated. All the awardees received a memento, a certificate of appreciation and a gift.

Through ‘Stree Shakti Sanman’, KRA Jewellers seeks to acknowledge the achievements of women, encourage their continued contributions and express gratitude for the significant role they play in shaping society.
