Pune, 6th November 2026: The Bombay High Court has granted bail to Laxmi Udaykant Andekar in a case linked to the notorious Andekar gang of Pune, providing major relief to the Andekar family.

After hearing her bail application, the court ordered her release on bail. It also rejected the plea made by special public prosecutor Shishir Hire to stay the implementation of the bail order for four weeks.

Advocate Vipul Dushing, appearing for Andekar, argued that her involvement in the offence was not clearly established. He placed submissions before the court highlighting the lack of evidence indicating her direct involvement in the case.

After considering the defence’s arguments, the high court granted bail. Hire subsequently sought a four-week stay on the order to allow the prosecution to challenge it. However, the court rejected the request and upheld its bail order.
