Pune, 3rd September 2021: To keep a check on the illegal sale of biodiesel, a joint inspection team has been appointed for Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad cities. The team includes government officials as well as representatives of oil companies.
There are many complaints regarding the illegal sale of biodiesel and spurious diesel. Recently, a State coordination meeting was held in Mumbai in this regard. It was decided in this meeting that a joint inspection team should be appointed for Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad cities. The team will inspect all the petrol pumps and identify the illegal sale of diesel, informed by Foodgrain Distribution Officer Sachin Dhole.
The joint team will be led by the tehsildar of the distribution department Vishakha Kakade. The team also includes the regional sales manager of Hindustan Petroleum Mangesh Dongre, regional sales manager of Bharat Petroleum Sudhanshu Kumar, regional sales manager of Indian oil corporation and the distribution inspector of the concerned area.
