A New Threat Incoming For Chandrayaan 3

Bangalore, 21 October 2023: According to ISRO, Vikram lander and Pragyan rover face threat on the moon from micrometeoroids that keep hitting the surface on the moon.

This concern was shared by a senior officer at ISRO who asked to be anonymous and gave this info to indiatoday.

According to the officer, Chandrayaan 3 is doing its job well but because it is on sleeping mode, it can be hit.

Chandrayaan 3 is done with its 14 day mission on the moon and will not be returning back to earth either way. There are many reasons as to why the rover and the lander can break or go bad. But that is only something that time will tell.
