AAP Prepares For Civic Polls; To Contest All Wards In Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Elections

Pune, 3rd March 2025: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its decision to field candidates in all wards of the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation elections. The party aims to contest the upcoming civic polls with full strength, positioning itself as a strong alternative in local governance.
A meeting of AAP workers from Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad was held in Koregaon Park, attended by key state committee members. Among those present were AAP State Committee Executive President Ajit Patil, Vice President Vijay Kumbhar, Secretary Dr. Abhijit More, State Spokesperson Mukund Kirdat, Pune City President Dhananjay Benkar, Pune City Spokesperson Kiran Kadre, Youth President Amit Maske, Raviraj Kale and others.
During the meeting, the party finalized its strategy for the upcoming municipal elections. A resolution to contest the polls under the leadership of Maharashtra State Vice-President Vijay Kumbhar was unanimously approved. AAP leaders emphasized their commitment to providing a strong, corruption-free governance model at the municipal level, aligning with their broader state-wide electoral plans.
With this decision, AAP is set to challenge the established political forces in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, signaling an aggressive campaign in the run-up to the elections.
