Taking action against hate statements and social media posts, Delhi Police has registered an FIR against 8 people including former Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. On the one hand, those who made objectionable remarks about Prophet Mohammad have been clamped down, on the other hand, the sword of arrest has also hanged on those who made fun of Shivling over the Gyanvapi controversy. Delhi Police has also registered a case against journalist Saba Naqvi, who recently made objectionable remarks on Shivling through a tweet. It is believed that due to this tweet, a case has also been registered against her.

Delhi Police has registered two FIRs. The first FIR is against Nupur Sharma, who recently made objectionable remarks about Prophet Muhammad during a TV debate. Amidst the anger against her in the country as well as in Islamic countries, BJP suspended her from the party. The police have registered a second FIR against those who often use social media to incite religious sentiments.

Naveen Jindal, Shadab Chauhan, Saba Naqvi, Maulana Mufti Nadeem, Abdul Rehman, Gulzar Ansari and Anil Kumar Meena are included in the second FIR. The IFSC Unit of the Special Cell of Delhi Police has registered an FIR accusing them of trying to spoil the atmosphere by making provocative statements. IFSC DCP KPS ​​Malhotra said that FIRs have been registered against many people of different religions. Malhotra said the role of social media platforms in promoting these statements will also be probed.

Maulana Mufti Nadeem had threatened
In the past, Maulana Mufti Nadeem, who lives in Bundi, Rajasthan, threatened to cut off the eyes and hands of those who spoke against the Prophet Muhammad. Maulana gave this statement in the presence of the police. After giving a memorandum to the collector against Nupur Sharma, Mufti had threatened in a conversation with the media that if the administration did not take action, the Muslims would react.
