Pune, 27th November 2025: The prestigious Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune successfully conducted an AICTE-ATAL Sponsored Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Hydrogen 360°: Unlocking the Potential of Sustainable Power” from 17th November to 22nd November 2025. This impactful national-level program was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, AIT Pune.

The high-profile event was inaugurated by Major General K. K. Chakrabarty, Chairman, AIT, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. Umesh Awasarmol served as the Convenor, while Dr. J. D. Patil and Dr. Laxmikant Jathar efficiently coordinated the event.

The six-day FDP featured eminent speakers from industry, IITs, NITs, and reputed academic and research institutions, providing participants with cutting-edge insights into the rapidly evolving domain of Hydrogen Energy. The sessions covered a wide spectrum of topics including hydrogen production technologies, storage systems, regulations, safety, applications in mobility, and future hydrogen-based energy solutions.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, researchers, industry professionals, and postgraduate scholars from across the country. Through expert lectures, interactive discussions, and test, the FDP successfully bridged the gap between theoretical understanding and practical application, equipping attendees with industry-relevant knowledge and skills.
