Ajit Pawar Appointed New Guardian Minister Of Pune, Chandrakant Patil Appointed Guardian Minister Of Amravati And Solapur
Pune 4th Oct 2023: Amid reports of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar being unhappy with the alliance government over delay in expansion of the state cabinet and appointment of guardian ministers, the Eknath Shinde-led state government has announced a new list of guardian ministers for various districts of Maharashtra. Ajit Pawar who was said to be aggressive for the post of guardian minister of Pune was given the charge of the district while Chandrakant Patil was made the new guardian minister of Amravati.
Ajit Pawar who joined the current government in Maharashtra with rebel MLAs had been demanding for Pune guardian minister post while Chandrakant Patil according to reports was not ready to leave it to NCP. The Chief Minister Office has announced that Chandrakant Patil will hold the post of guardian minister for two districts including Solapur and Amravati.
The Chief Minister Office has announced new guardian ministers for 12 districts in the state. BJP leader Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil has been appointed guardian minister of Akola, Vijay Kumar Gavit appointed guardian minister of Bhandara, Dilip Walse Patil appointed guardian minister for Buldhana, Hasan Mushrif for Kolhapur, Dharmraobaba Atram for Gondia, Dhananjay Munde for Beed, Sanjay Bansode for Parbhani, Anil B Patil for Nandurbar and Sudhir Mungantiwar has been appointed as the guardian minister of Wardha district.
The new appointment is claimed to be a move to convince Ajit Pawar as key leaders of NCP including Dhananjay Munde, Hasan Mushrif are given the charge of their home districts. It may be noted that the Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had missed the state cabinet meeting held on Tuesday after which reports of him being unhappy with the alliance partners were doing rounds. The Chief Minister and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis discussed the matter with the Delhi high command of BJP and the new list was announced.
