Amanora wins CREDAI’s CSR award

Pune, December 22 : The first ever integrated township of the country Amanora Township of City Corporation Ltd, has recently won the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India popularly known as CREDAI’s most prestigious CSR Award for the year 2015. The award comprises of a trophy and a certificate was honored to Aamnora township for their outstanding work done the segment of women empowerment. This is the very first edition of CREDAI CSR Award which was unveiled at the CREDAI Conclave 2015, to honour the efforts of their fellow members towards social causes.

This Award was received by Amanora’s Vice President Sunilkumar Tarte at the hands of the dignitaries present-  Bandaru Dattatreya, Minister of State for Labour and Employment (Independent Charge), and Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. This was awarded during CREDAI CONCLAVE 2015, being held at Hotel Taj Palace in  New Delhi.

Amanora township has designed various rehabilitation packages for farmers in nearby areas of the township and their family members. These packages are based on the skill development, entrepreneurship and women empowerment. These packages include training farmers or their family members in technical & entrepreneurial skills and offering them entrepreneurial opportunities and supporting them through out the process.

The most unique of the rehabilitation package amongst all was designed for farmer’s womenfolk. Amanora trained over 50 ladies in hospitality management and catering technology for a period of a month at MITCON. Then they were offered the partnership in the Hospitality company with an opportunity to work. Today 37 women, who would normally have confined to a daily house chore have became catering professionals and are successfully running a Canteen for 2000 people. They now own credit card, bike, telephone of their own and have a profound sense of achievement. This empowerment has not only made them self sufficient but has also created a respect for them in the society.

Established in 1999, the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) brings together more than 11500 Real Estate Developers from 156 city chapters across 23 states of India. As the apex body for private sector developers, CREDAI has consistently worked to make the industry more organized and progressive. CREDAI has developed into a preferred platform with regard to national discourse on housing and habitat through its close and deep networking with government, policy makers, investors, finance companies, consumers, real estate professionals and developers.

Amanora, an organization as a whole, has received over 100 awards in the field of Planning, Architecture, Environment, Marketing, CSR & Education. It is also known for its Smart City features before the smart city concept came in vogue.
