Ananda Sangha Worldwide Spiritual Directors, Nayaswamis Jyotish and Devi delivered a special discourse on the life of Paramhansa Yogananda

Pune, November, 10, 2015:  In an exclusive media interaction, Swami Jyotish and Swami Devi, who are disciples of, the great Indian avatar Paramhansa Yogananda and Ananda Sangha Worldwide Spiritual Directors, spoke on the Ananda World brotherhood Communities and the life and teachings of ‘Paramhansa Yogananda’  They emphasized on the beneficial role of meditation in maintaining work-life balance and getting in touch with one’s spiritual aspect as well as their roadmap for Pune.

Swami Jyotish and Swami Devi, gave an inspiring discourse recently on the mission of Paramhansa Yogananda as an avatar for the modern age. The talk was held at the YASHADA auditorium, Baner. The hall was packed to capacity with over 200 people.

Swami Jyotish deftly weaved science and spirituality in the course of sharing the practical yet lofty vision of Paramhansa Yogananda. One of the students in the audience, impressed by Swami Jyotish’s breadth of understanding remarked “I was amazed in the way he connected science and spirituality.” Swami Devi moved the heart of all those present through her sharing of some beautiful stories from the life of Paramhansa Yogananda, bringing alive the Yoga Master’s power and spiritual breadth of vision for the modern age.

The discourse came to a close with the launch of the masterpiece “Bhagavad Gita Ka Saar”, the Hindi version of “The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita” as explained by Paramhansa Yogananda. The discourse was followed by the screening of the award-winning docudrama “Finding Happiness”, which demonstrates how we can find happiness through the practical application of Yogananda’s teachings.

Founded by Swami Kriyananda in service to his Guru, the great Indian avatar Paramhansa Yogananda, Ananda Sangha Pune is part of a worldwide spiritual movement, dedicated to Self-realisation and the unity of all truth-seekers. Nayaswamis Jyotish and Devi have served together as spiritual directors of Ananda since 1984. With the passing of Swami Kriyananda, Jyotish and Devi are continuing to carry on the great work that he started through teaching and outreach throughout the world.

Ananda Pune will be conducting a two weekend workshop on ‘how to meditate’ on Friday, 15 November, 10 am to 1 pm at Bhosalenagar.
