Annual Inspection: Pune Rural Police Receives Guidance from Special IG Sunil Phulari

Pune, 5th April 2024:Sunil Phulari, Special Inspector General of Police (Kolhapur Range), undertook the annual inspection of the Pune Rural Police on April 2, 2024. During this assessment, he engaged with various stakeholders in the region, including Police Patils, entrepreneurs, peace committee members, and public prosecutors of Sessions Court.
Addressing the Police Patils, Phulari urged them to highlight any challenges they encounter and express their needs, particularly in anticipation of upcoming festivals like Ramzan Eid, Ram Navami, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, and the impending Lok Sabha elections.
He emphasized the importance of installing CCTV surveillance at key locations in collaboration with the Pune Rural Police and stressed the necessity of preparedness, especially regarding compliance with regulations outlined in the Model Code of Conduct for the forthcoming elections.
Phulari encouraged Police Patils to work closely with Pune Rural Police and promptly report any instances of illegal activities, suspicious businesses, or criminal gangs operating within their jurisdictions.
Furthermore, Phulari engaged with entrepreneurs in the Pune Rural area, urging them to connect with the police administration for any policing-related support they may require. Additionally, he addressed police officers and public prosecutors from the Sessions Court, emphasizing the significance of building robust cases to ensure successful prosecution.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous commitment from all attendees to maintain communal harmony and ensure safety and security in the Pune Rural Area. Phulari expressed his confidence in the Pune Rural Police Force. Pankaj Deshmukh, Superintendent of Police, Pune Rural, Ramesh Chopde, Additional Superintendent of Police, Pune Division, Sanjay Jadhav, Additional Superintendent of Police, Baramati Division, alongside Police Patils, representatives from the Entrepreneurs Association, Peace Committee Members, and public prosecutors from both the Civil Court and Session Court attended the meeting.
