Army Jawan Posted In Pune Arrested For Sharing Defence Secrets To Pakistani Woman Agent

Pune/Patna, 14th November 2021: An army jawan has been arrested from Patna, the capital of Bihar, for allegedly sharing important information related to the Indian Army to a Pakistani woman agent. He had befriended her on Facebook.

Based on the inputs of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Military Intelligence (MI), Bihar Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested the soldier identified as Ganesh Kumar. The sleuths had kept a watch on him for the last few days and he was caught today.

According to officials, Ganesh was in contact with a woman from Pakistan and he was constantly sharing important information related to the defence forces.

Police said that Ganesh is a resident of Asthawan in the Nalanda district. He is from the Army medical corps and currently, his posting is in Pune.

According to police, Ganesh had befriended the woman two years ago. He was then posted in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. She had reportedly told him that she worked with the medical team of the Navy. The two had frequent phone conversations in which he shared a lot of information related to the Indian Army especially about medical facilities with the Pakistani woman.

Investigating agencies are scouting Ganesh’s mobile phone. Along with this, the conversation and chatting details of his social media accounts are also being investigated.
