Army’s Southern Command, Maharashtra Govt Push for Stronger Civil-Defence Framework

Pune/Mumbai, 23rd June 2025: Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, interacted with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, as part of the Apex Level Military-Civil Fusion Interaction in Mumbai.
The meeting witnessed discussion on a number of relevant and wide-ranging issues of mutual interest, such as Civil-Defence Cooperation, Internal Security, Veteran Welfare, and Disaster Response. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing coordination and preparedness for the overall safety, welfare, and resilience of the state.
