Kharadi, 23rd June 2025: Infosys has expanded its footprint in Pune with the launch of a new state-of-the-art facility in Kharadi, positioning it as a strategic hub for global capability centers (GCCs) and a catalyst for next-generation co-innovation.
The newly inaugurated Infosys-GCC Center aims to foster deeper collaboration with global clients by serving as a Center of Excellence for artificial intelligence, business-tech transformation, and innovation-led delivery. Located in the rapidly growing eastern corridor of Pune, Kharadi has emerged as a preferred destination for IT giants and multinational firms due to its strong infrastructure and proximity to talent pools.
Rajneesh Malviya, Senior Vice President and Head of Infosys Pune Development Center, shared the news on LinkedIn, expressing both pride and enthusiasm. “Thrilled to announce the launch of our new Infosys office in Kharadi, Pune! While this marks another milestone in our expanding office network, this one is particularly special,” Malviya wrote.
“It serves as a strategic proximity center for our GCC clients—enabling closer collaboration, deeper co-innovation, and stronger partnerships,” he added, underlining the center’s role in Infosys’ broader AI-first and tech-transformation journey.
The inauguration event witnessed participation from several senior GCC leaders, including Arindam Banerjee, Sudish Lambodara Panicker, Elango Somasundaram, Shweta Pandey, Nidhi Dhanju, and Rakesh Patil, who engaged in experience-sharing sessions and discussions around the evolving role of GCCs in India.
Malviya also credited the company’s infrastructure team for designing a workspace that harmoniously combines Infosys’ technological legacy with the rich art and cultural motifs of Maharashtra. “A big shoutout to our incredible infrastructure team for crafting a space that beautifully blends the art and culture of Maharashtra with the legacy of Infosys. The best way to experience it? Come visit and see it for yourself!” he wrote.
With this new center, Infosys continues to strengthen its presence in Pune, especially in Kharadi, which is fast becoming a strategic IT and innovation hub in the city.
As Pune remains a key talent and infrastructure base for Infosys—with over 38,000 employees already operating from its Hinjawadi campuses—the Kharadi office adds a new dimension to the tech giant’s growth narrative in Maharashtra.
