Asian Literary Society organized its 5th Asian Literary Confluence in New Delhi
New Delhi, 13th November 2022: Asian Literary Society (ALS) organized its 5th Asian Literary Confluence at India Islamic Cultural Centre Auditorium, New Delhi on 12th November 2022. Mr. Manoj Krishnan (Author and Founder, Asian Literary Society) delivered the Keynote Address touching upon the new initiatives and innovative programs conducted by ALS during the year. Distinguished guests of honor Dr. Amarendra Khatua (Former Secretary, MEA), Dr. Udayanath Sahoo (Chair professor, JNU), Mr. Kumar Vikram (Senior Editor, National Book Trust of India) graced the occasion with their august presence.

In the 5th Asian Literary Confluence 2022, four books by the writers of the ALS community were also released. These included “Dil ki Awaz- Ek Bahti Dhara” by Manisha Amol, “Un-parenting” by Dr. Nidhi Gupta, “As I Prepare for Landing” by Gulnar Raheem Khan, “Making the World A Better Place” by Ishrat Umar.
Through her book “Un-parenting”, Dr. Nidhi Gupta encourages mothers not to postpone their dreams and goals while raising their children but rather to pursue them as soon as possible.
Manisha Amol’s “Dil ki Awaz- Ek Bahti Dhara” is a collection of poems on various themes that include nature and human emotions. Many poems in this collection have been applauded on national and international platforms.
Gulnar Raheem Khan’s maiden book, “As I Prepare for Landing” ‘a Basket of Stories and a Casket of Poems’, is a choice collection of twenty poems and ten short stories, each piece being the essence and efflorescence of the variegated experiences, good and bad, in the six decades of her life, spiced up with infinite imagination!
“Making the World A Better Place” by Ishrat Umar has poems touching human emotions and sensitivity to various aspects of life. There is an intricate description of humanity, love, and day-to-day situations of human life, in each of her poems.
Another highlight of the event was poetry readings by Yusra Maryam Khan, Manisha Amol, Devi Vaidehi, Sanjula Sharma, Zeyd Ladha, Dr. Minal, Abhishek Goswami, Ruchika Rastogi, Anita Chand, Kiren Babal, Dr. Richa Garg, and Dr. Suboohi Jafar.
The program was moderated by Vandana Bhasin and Manoj Krishnan. The event ended with the felicitation of writers and a vote of thanks.
The Asian Literary Society’s 5th Asian Literary Confluence 2022 received an overwhelming response from viewers from all over the world who applauded ALS and its literary initiative.
