Balewadi Residents Meet Pune MP Mohol to Discuss Roads, Traffic, and Power Issues
Balewadi, 27th October 2025: A delegation from the Balewadi Welfare Federation (BWF) met Union Minister and Pune MP Muralidhar Mohol on Sunday to apprise him of various civic issues faced by residents and to present a memorandum of demands aimed at improving infrastructure and public amenities in the Balewadi area.
Senior government officials including Additional PMC Commissioner Prithviraj B.P., DCP Sambhaji Kadam, and Aundh Ward Office Assistant Commissioner Girish Dapkekar were also present at the meeting.
The memorandum submitted by BWF highlighted the following key demands:
Completion of the Balewadi High Street to Wakad Kaspate Vasti road
Completion of the Laxmi Mata Mandir to Jupiter Hospital road
Construction of an underpass near 7 Avenues Society or the Balewadi Stadium main gate for alternate access to the Mumbai–Bengaluru Highway
Installation of traffic signals at Sai Chowk, Mamta Chowk, and a traffic circle at Dasara Chowk
Expedited commencement of work on the MSEB sub-station
Resolution of issues caused by the local wine shop in Balewadi
Setting up of a petrol pump in the Baner–Balewadi area
Mohol reviewed the memorandum in detail, patiently heard the residents’ concerns, and instructed the concerned officials to take necessary action. He also recalled his earlier interactions with BWF representatives and appreciated the federation’s continued efforts for community welfare.
BWF representatives said they plan to seek a follow-up meeting with the Minister in the coming days to track progress on the issues discussed.
The delegation included Moreshwar Balwadkar, D.D. Singh, Ashish Kotamkar, Shakil Salati, and Sunil Galankar.
