New Delhi, 11th April 2022: Do you have any important bank-related work this week, then let us tell you that this week the bank will be closed for four days. The banks will be closed on the 14, 15, 16, and 17th of April.

 

Bank holidays are different for every state, although there are some days when banks are closed across the country.

 

14 April – Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti / Mahavir Jayanti / Baisakhi / Tamil New Year / Chairoba, Biju Festival / Bohar Bihu – (Banks closed in places other than Shillong and Shimla).

 

15 April – Good Friday / Bengali New Year / Himachal Day / Vishu / Bohag Bihu – (Banks closed in places other than Jaipur, Jammu, and Srinagar).

 

April 16 – Bohag Bihu – (Bank closed in Guwahati)

 

April 17 – Sunday (weekly holiday)

 

What is RBI’s guideline?

According to the list of holidays given on the official website of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banking holidays also depend on the festivals celebrated in different states or notification of special occasions in those states. All these holidays will not be applicable in all the states.

 

In such a situation, if you have bank-related work, then during this time you can settle your banking work through net banking and mobile banking.
