Bavdhan: Accident of ambulance carrying 12 people to COVID hospital
Pune, July 6, 2020: An ambulance carrying 12 people to Coronavirus Disease (COVID) Care Center met with an accident in Bavdhan today. The accident took place on the Pune-Bengaluru highway in the afternoon.
According to Hinjawadi police station, the accident took place when the driver lost control of the vehicle and the ambulance tilted in one direction. The occupants of the ambulance sustained minor injuries, police said. The ambulance was carrying 12 people from Jay Bhavani Nagar and Kishkindha Nagar areas of Kothrud to COVID Care Center in Balewadi.
After the accident, residents and corporator got personal protection equipment (PPE) and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital. It is not known whether the patients are COVID positive or not.
