Beauty with Brain, Pune’s Bandana Dua crowned 1st Runner Up at Mrs West India 2020

I truly believe that there is no limit to what we as women can accomplish”, believes Pune’s very own Bandana Dua, who was crowned 1st Runner Up Mrs West India 2020 – Gold category from amongst 47 finalists at the glittering finale of ‘Mrs West India – Empress of West India 2020’ – Season 3, held at the Alila Diwa Goa, on 28th Nov 2020. That’s not all – the diva with both beauty and brains also took home the crown of ‘Mrs Body Beautiful 2020 – Gold Category’ at the same platform!

A true Delhite, born and brought up with values that always pushed her to go that extra mile and follow her role model, her mother, Anita Dua. She was a topper throughout her school and college, and then pursued her Masters from Bits Pilani. From venturing into IT field as a normal graduate, she eventually became the first Vice President of her batch. Currently she is Senior Vice President, working with a leading German bank, playing the lead in women career development. What’s more – she is a Certified coach and trainer, bringing in transformation in many lives.

“It was indeed an overwhelming moment when my name was announced as 1st Runner Up at this prestigious platform. I would like to thank my husband, Dhiraj Thakur, who has been my pillar of strength. I am happily married to a man with golden heart who gave me all the wings to fly and never felt that I have to do anything extra being a wife️”, beams Bandana.

“And how can I forget to say a big thank you to my mentors, Anjana and Karl Mascarenhas, who are the brain and the heart behind, DIVA Pageants”, she adds.

A fitness freak, strong believer of a healthy lifestyle and practising various forms of workout in her day to day routine, Bandana is also passionate about dancing and exploring.

“I strongly believe in the statement – Aspire to inspire before you expire. I therefore want to work towards women empowerment and be a role model for many girls who want to achieve their dreams. As is rightly said – Age is just a number, you should always make choices and never sacrifices”, she sums up.

The Chief Guest for the evening was Hon’ble Minister Shripad Yesso Naik, Union Minister of State. Mahek Chahal (actress), Bruna Abdullah (actress), Suhani Mendonsa (events), Gwen Dee (designer), Vivek Mendonsa (Lawrence & Mayo) were the eminent judges for the evening. Popular TV actor, Aman Yatan Verma, wowed the audience as he anchored the grand show with aplomb.
