Hinjawadi: Worker Killed Contractor For Not Granting Leave For Chhath Puja

Pune, December 5, 2020: Police have succeeded in investigating the murder of a contractor on November 27 in Hinjawadi. It has been revealed that a worker killed the contractor out of anger because he was not allowed to go for Chhath Puja.

The accused, Arvind Chauhan, was arrested by Hinjawadi police from his native place in Uttar Pradesh. The contractor and the accused worker were living in the same room.

According to the police, the body of Ganpat Sadashiv Sangale, a contractor, was found in a locked room at Jambhe near Hinjawadi on November 27. Further investigation into the case had revealed that the co-worker had committed the murder. However, accused Arvind had absconded.

Police said that Chauhan had to go to the village for Chhath Puja. But he was angry that the contractor Sangale did not grant him leave. Chauhan killed the contractor Sangale and fled to Uttar Pradesh. After getting information about this, Hinjawadi police team went there and arrested him.
